Great little State Park not that far from Oklahoma City has a nice Trail in the outside great place for rock climbing Trail small Trail not a bad place to stop.
Great campsites, RV lots, playgrounds for kids, clean bathrooms, picnic areas, walking trails and rappelling areas, fishing pond. Overall a really great weekend. The staff was really Pleasant, and we didn't have any issues. Dog friendly.
This is an interesting Canyon that is unexpected in the area. I stayed in the primitive camping section. The campsites are nice but lack any sort of platform or designated tent areas. There are a limited number of flat locations for tents. The bathroom facilities are older and we're not exceptionally clean. The showers are coin operated and we're not modern or particularly nice. I could hear dogs barking in the distant neighborhoods. Unfortunately the canyon walls have been defaced with graffiti for what looks like decades and it is still happening today. But it was an adequate place to stay and a very interesting Canyon that I would recommend seeing if you are in that area.
We had a great 2 night stay. Sites are beautiful!!!! Restrooms were clean but no soap. Check to make sure swimming pool is open. When we made the reservation, it did not mention that it would be closed by the time we got there, for the season!!!! Drive out is a little nerve racking if pulling a trailer or camper.
I always love camping here. Reminds me of my youth when my family would come here. Great for repelling and hiking. Plenty of camping spots.
